PE

St. Giles’ offers opportunities for pupils to access a range of physical activities. The school has been awarded Healthy School status and the ‘Active mark’ for its PE provision. Through links with Painsley Catholic College, children are taught by specialist PE teachers and specialist coaches who deliver high quality multi-skills lessons, which enhances the quality of PE provision and improves staff knowledge.

All pupils in year 6 have the opportunity to complete bikeability and road safety courses. As part of the extended schools provision, all pupils may access sporting activities including, football, athletics, tag rugby, netball, cricket, cross-country, and many more. There are school teams for football, netball, rugby, athletics, cross-country, swimming and rounders.
